The Annual TNME Student Composer Competition Seeks To Showcase Emerging Texas Talent Through The Commission Of Works To Be Performed By The TNME Players

ELIGIBILITY

DEADLINE EXTENDED! *Submit Dates: February 1st – March 20th, 2020*

Open to any composer currently enrolled in a music degree program at a Texas institution or a High School student attending school in Texas.

THE PRIZE!

The winning composer will be commissioned to write a new 8-10 minute work for flute, clarinet, and cello. The work will be premiered by Texas New Music Ensemble on July 6th as part of the Emerging Artist Concert taking place opening night of the 2020 Space City New Music Festive in Houston, TX. Winner will be notified by April 1, 2020.

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION

Any work for 2 – 8 players for any instrumentation (including electronics) will be eligible

An original Score and CV is required. A Recording of the piece may be submitted also, if available, but is not required.

There is a $35 Application Fee, payable via debit/credit card, etc through PayPal once registration is complete

  1. Required: A Score of your composition. Please send as a pdf file.
  2. Required: A basic CV file, with all relevant information.
  3. Optional: A sound recording file of the work. Please send as an mp3, 10mb limit
